New to the Brigantine, Painting Workshops dedicated to serious students and established artists who wish to expand their scope and capabilities through workshops exploring different styles, techniques and mediums presented by various artists.

We are planning many more workshops in the near future such as the one shown below given by George Ceffalio.

Also in the works are classes presented by local artists held in person at our gallery and eventually available on DVDs and online so they may be used and reviewed at the student's leisure. We are also exploring workshops presented online using live streaming video so students around the country can take part.

We are excited about this project and have had very favorable feedback from local artists and students.

 

 

 

George paints in the classic style of the 17th century Dutch Masters, in what is referred to as "chiaroscuro" or out of the shadows. Each workshop begins with an overview and a painting demonstration, then each student receives individual attention and feedback as they work on their painting. His workshops concentrate on the importance of creating light in a painting, value, color, edges and paint quality.
